The Daugherty Companies, Inc. was founded in 1939 as a J.I. Case dealership by H.L. (Hack) Daugherty and has continuously been engaged in retail, wholesale and manufacturing of agricultural equipment. In 1968, Hack Daugherty became a manufacturer’s rep for the newly emerging Dickey-john Corporation. With our continuous experience of forty eight years, we are one of the most respected names in the Ag electronics industry.
Over time, the business has grown from marketing to distribution and manufacturing. AgDirectUSA is an Internet store specializing in hard to find electronic connectors, accessories and harness. In 2011, The Daugherty Companies, Inc. acquired the equipment and facilities of Alliance Group Technologies Kokomo formerly located at the Grissom complex between Peru and Kokomo, Indiana and now located in Warren, Indiana. Alliance specializes in low to medium volume electronic production including box builds, development of products, and circuit boards.
In December 2019, all of the manufacturing and distribution divisions of The Daugherty Companies, Inc. were sold to Ag Express Electronics and David Daugherty retired from active management. The Daugherty Companies, Inc. corporate shell was retained to accommodate the Ag-Serv Division headed by Mike Daugherty and to continue the over 80 year family heritage started by his grandfather.
Ag-Serv specializes in Farm Equipment Repair, Welding and Fabrication, Hydraulic Hose and Repair, Precision Ag Service, Antique Tractor Repair and Restoration and is a dealer in Deka Batteries. Ag-Serv is available for on-farm repairs and installation.
